League Tournaments

ITA Rankings & Honors
* Navy achieved its highest national ranking of No. 75 during the 2000 season.
* The Mids also have earned regional rankings at the conclusion of seven seasons under Officer, including a ranking of 13th at the end of the 2007 campaign.
* Individually, Craig Moringiello and Mitch Koch both earned top-100 rankings in 1990 and '99, respectively.
* Koch, Moringiello and Chris Thompson totaled five top-12 regional rankings in singles, with four of Officer's doubles teams also receiving a top-10 regional rank.

Individual Player League Honors
* Silas Bouyer was named as the Patriot League Player of the Year in 1996.
* Mitchell Koch was selected as the league player of the year in 1997 and '99.
* Nate Nelms received the player-of-the-year accolade last season.
* A Navy player has garnered the league's freshman/rookie of the year accolade in three of the six seasons the award has been presented. Stanley Kahl earned the honor in 2004, Nate Nelms won it in '06 and Ramsey Lemaich picked up the hardware during the '07 campaign.

All-League Players
* Under the current format for selecting all-league players (adopted in 2003), Navy players have garnered 12 all-league accolades. First-team selections during this five-year span include Cameron Lickle ('03), Davy Lee ('03), Stanley Kahl ('04), Brandon Carter ('05), Nate Nelms ('06, '07) and Adrian Lai ('07). Second-team selections under Officer include Ryan Osgood ('04), Davy Lee ('05), Lai ('06), Kahl ('07) and Johnny Waters ('07).
* Using the previous format of bestowing all-league honors, Navy players totaled 13 all-league selections in singles and nine in doubles.

Prior to Navy
* Officer served as the head coach at Boston University for two years (1983-84) prior to arriving at Navy.

Personal Information
* A native of Hanover, N.H., Officer is a 1979 graduate of Boston College who also earned a Master's Degree from Boston University.
* Along with his coaching duties, is also an Associate Professor of Physical Education at the Naval Academy.
* He and his wife, Cathy, are the parents of four daughters -- Katie, Lindsay, Sarah, Emily.
* Has completed a series of 10 instructional videos on the sport.
