2006-07 -- Produced a career-best 24 wins en route to his most successful season on the squash courts ... earned a 24-7 record, playing Navy's No. 7 spot on the ladder ... won his first eight matches of the year, all three-game sweeps, before dropping a four-game decision to Dartmouth's Daniel Wagman ... came back from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Amherst's Andrew Slutsky in five games ... it was Navy's first win over Amherst since its 7-2 victory on Dec. 4, 1991 ... turned in an eight-match winning streak to open the month of February and featured wins over Hamilton's Sander Doucette (3-2) and Tufts' Dan Karlin (3-1) ... won two of his three matches at the CSA Team Championship ... won a five-gamer against Brown's Jacob Winkler in the opener and defeated Bates' Deacon Chapin the following day.

2005-06 -- Earned a varsity letter in his first season after posting a 12-11 record ... played five different positions on the ladder ... opened the season by winning his first four matches, including a 3-1 decision over Northwestern's Nathan Caro in his collegiate debut ... turned in a solid 3-1 win over Drew Snell in just his second-career match ... lost a heart-breaker to Bowdoin's Elliot Beck in five games at the CSA Team Championship.

High School -- A 2005 graduate of Episcopal Academy in Merion, Pa., Zipf earned letters in squash (3) and baseball (2), while also competing in cross country and football ... led the squash team to the 2003 Inter-AC League Championship ... earned Second-Team All-Main Line honors in 2005 and was named the team's most improved player ... named Second-Team All-Inter AC League and Second-Team All-Main Line as a catcher for the Episcopal Academy baseball team his senior year ... has been a volunteer firefighter since 2002 ...
