I have really enjoyed personally answering many of the emails that have been sent to me over the past few months. "Ask the AD" has turned out to be a very effective way to communicate with dozens of fans and friends. Although I will regularly respond to questions directly to the person interested, on occasion information for a broader audience is appropriate. Now that football season has begun, I received a more significant number of questions and, therefore, a great opportunity to respond at large.

If for some chance I missed your inquiry, please send it back to me for an immediate response. When the Navy family has a clear understanding of what's going on, it works to all of our advantage.

Everyone is really upbeat about the prospects for another banner year. We are now coming off close to a 70% winning percentage for all of our Division I contests. That's 31 sports either performing up to expectation, or a handful of others right on the edge of a breakthrough. I am very optimistic our coaches and midshipmen will again deliver three seasons of enjoyable and entertaining competitions for 2007-08.

On a final note, I have recently reviewed the hundreds of "Ask the AD" questions and answers available on the site. Over the past six years, virtually every issue has been discussed to some degree. In an effort to keep the site more current and relevant, we have deleted dozens of questions and answers that have become outdated. Therefore, what is left will be either more recent questions or questions that are relevant regardless of when it was addressed.
