Q: Going to home games is a special time to socialize, and many of us alumni like parking together where we can organize and share food and drink. The directed parking policy you have instituted does not serve the ultimate consumer very well as it defeats our ability to park close together. I have no doubt it is more convenient for the staff to jam the cars into the next available space, but that defeats the purpose of giving the alumni service. You should consider stopping this directed parking policy altogether and a miss-guided attempt at parking efficiency. Let the fans find the spot they want. - asked by: Skip Wright '68 -
A: We're all about customer service, and our alumni receive the highest priority of accommodations. But we must park as many cars as possible in our game day lots and take advantage of all efficiencies possible. We have pledged to city officials and our stadium neighbors that we will do just that so we can avoid gridlock in their neighborhoods on days of Navy football games. I recommend you reserve a perimeter or NavyFest tailgating spot through our marketing department.
